Reconnect with your younger self

What is Inner Child Work?

In my clinical work I have found many of us carry unresolved pain, unmet needs, and negative beliefs created in our early years and carried into adulthood.

I use this approach to help you reconnect with the younger, often wounded parts of yourself.

What does Inner Child Work focus on?

This therapy focuses on exploring the experiences and emotions of your "inner child," the part of you that holds the memories, beliefs, and feelings from your childhood. Some of these unresolved issues can manifest as anxiety, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, or patterns of self-sabotage.

Inner Child Work involves gently guiding you to access these early experiences, understand their impact on your current life, and begin the process of healing and reparenting your inner child. I think it is important to note that at no time will we be “blaming” your parents or caregivers. Inner Child Work just allows us to look at, and acknowledge, painful experiences from our childhood.

Should I do Inner Child Work?

I love doing this work because it allows us to “reparent” ourselves after identifying the wounds. We will learn to recognize the voice of your Inner Critic and cultivate self-compassion and a sense of love for yourself.

This approach can lead to profound emotional healing, greater self-awareness, and a stronger sense of self-worth. By nurturing your inner child, you can break free from old patterns and create a more fulfilling and authentic life.

“For in every adult there dwells the child that was, and in every child there lies the adult that will be.”
